A homecoming for about 150 Fort Carson soldiers Tuesday has been delayed.
According to officials, members of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division will now be welcomed home at 6:40 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the Special Events Center.
Another group of about 50 soldiers from 4th BCT is expected home Wednesday at 4:35 p.m.
4th BCT deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom last February, assuming responsibility for the four provinces of Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Nuristan on April 5, 2012.
The Mountain Warriors partnered with three Afghan National Security Forces brigades and assisted in the establishment of a fourth ANSF brigade. These four brigades, along with the Afghan uniformed and local police forces in the region totaled approximately 28,000 members.
4th BCT Civil Affairs efforts oversaw the completion of 22 schools, 25 road projects, four canal and water sanitation projects, 13 medical clinics, and 37 other key infrastructure projects including court houses, education buildings and district centers.
