The Mountain Post's 1st Eco-Fest will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Special Events Center on post. The event is free and open to the public.

The theme of the event is "It's Easy Being Green." Participants will get a chance to learn more about the importance of taking care of our environment in a fun and hands-on way. There will be eco-friendly food, recycled art, live music, a fun run, a bike rodeo and demonstrations showcasing easy ways to be environmentally responsible.

Visitors who do not have a military registration decal on their vehicles are asked to use Fort Carson's main gate located just off of State Highway 115 on the west side of the post. All visitors must present a photo ID, vehicle registration, proof of insurance and be prepared for a vehicle search at the gate.
