Fort Carson is holding a two-day exercise to evaluate its police, firefighter and medical crews' response to a simulated emergency.
The exercise, called Mountain Thunder, takes place Wednesday and Thursday. Fort Carson says the exercise is part of a monthlong effort by the Army to make soldiers and their families aware of anti-terrorism efforts.
Gate 2 will be closed from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday to accommodate the exercise.
