FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) - A Fort Carson deputy commander has been nominated for a second star.
Brig. Gen. Jeffrey L. Bailey is in line to become a major general. He is deputy commanding general for support of the 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson's largest unit.
Bailey's predecessor, Brig. Gen. James F. Pasquarette, has also been nominated to become a major general and is getting a new assignment.
Pasquarette will become the Army's deputy director for program analysis and evaluation for the deputy Army chief of staff in Washington. He had been director of comprehensive soldier fitness for the deputy chief of staff since he left Fort Carson in October.
The promotions were announced Monday and Pasquarette's assignment was announced Tuesday.
