Forsberg headlines Colorado Sports Hall of Fame

DENVER (AP) - Peter Forsberg headlines the 2012 six-member class of the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.

Forsberg played on the Colorado Avalanche's two Stanley Cup teams in 1996 and 2001 and also played on two World Championship and two Olympic hockey gold medal teams for his native Sweden.

The other inductees announced Tuesday are: former pro soccer player Marcelo Balboa; former Northern Colorado basketball and baseball star Frank Carbajal, former Boulder High School, UNLV and NBA basketball player Glenn Gondrezick; former Windsor High School and Colorado State football star Greg Myers; and Will Nicholson Jr., who played a prominent role in golf both in the state and nationally.

They will be inducted at a banquet in Denver on April 10.
