BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A former youth hockey coach in Boulder has been sentenced to 10 years of intensive sex offender probation.

The Daily Camera reports Zachary Meints also was sentenced Friday in Boulder to perform 150 hours of community service. He pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of felony Internet sexual exploitation after he was accused of sending sexual messages to teen players.

Meints was fired from his coaching position with the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders 15-and-under hockey team after an investigation began in September.
