BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens is scheduled to speak at the University of Colorado tonight.
Stevens is expected to talk about constitutional law and the Supreme Court at 5 p.m. at CU's law school to inaugurate a new series of lectures named for him. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Stevens stepped down from the court last year after 35 years and has been writing a memoir about his time there. It's due out the first Monday in October, when the Supreme Court traditionally begins a new term. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is scheduled to deliver the second Stevens Lecture in 2012.
