Another hotel is headed for downtown Colorado Springs. The former El Paso County Department of Human Services building at 105 N. Spruce Street is being converted into an 80 room Holiday Inn Express.

The county sold the property to the Jarosz Family Partnership for $2.4 million after relocating the offices to the Citizens Services Center on Garden of the Gods Road.

A news release from the county suggests the developer may invest as much as $4 million renovating the property with hopes of opening for business sometime in the summer of 2013.
