Forest Service cancels briefing on Waldo Canyon Fire cause

The US Forest announced late Thursday that it had inadvertently provided incorrect information regarding a proposed news conference on September 12 regarding the cause and origin of the Waldo Canyon Fire.
A news release issued at 10:30 p.m. Thursday reads in part, "the information that there will be a press briefing was incorrect as the investigation is still on-going. There are no further details to release to the public at this time."
