The recall of a widely used food additive over salmonella concerns has resulted in the recall of three specific products sold in Colorado. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced the recall Friday, and warned that more products are sure to follow.

The recalled items:

* Certain Earth Island Follow Your Heart Organic 12-, 32-, and 120-oz Creamy Ranch Dressings

* Homemade Gourmet Tortilla Soup Mix

* Certain Reser’s Fine Foods Inc. products

Basic Food Flavors of Las Vegas, issued a nationwide recall of all hydrolyzed vegetable proteins (HVP) in powder and paste form that it has produced since Sept. 17, 2009.

Keep track of all recalled food items at the FDA Food Safety website.
