The streets of Reno, Nevada ran red on Saturday as hundreds took part in a massive food fight.
25 tons of ripe tomatoes provided the ammunition for the battle.
The food fight, which is based on a similar festival held in Bunol, Spain, was organized to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Participants paid a $10 entry fee, or for $50 were able to serve as part of a tomato firing squad targeting the mayors of Reno and Sparks.
