Focus on the Family is joining with other organizations to collect a semi-truck load of toilet paper for the needy.
The brainchild of Focus employee Kathy Peterson, who was once homeless, the drive should help with the number one need they hear from the Colorado Springs Community Roundtable, a coalition made up of a 17 nonprofit groups that help the needy. That's right, toilet paper ranks at the top of the wish list for many poor people. That's partly because food stamps cannot be used to buy toiletries. Many local agencies are only able to provide one roll of toilet paper for each family each month.

Toilet paper can be dropped off at Focus on the Family as well as the Navigators and Integrity Bank locations in Colorado Springs.
The final consolidation of everything donated will happen Saturday morning, April 10 at Focus on the Family. It will take 88,000 rolls to fill one semi-trailer and that's the goal.
