Flooding forces boy scout camp evacuation

WALSENBURG- 100 Boy Scouts have been evacuated from a camp near Walsenburg early this morning. Flash flooding forced the Boy Scout Ranch on Bear Creek Road to close.

The Red Cross has opened an evacuation center in Huerfano County. It's located at the community center on 928 Russell Avenue in Walsenburg.

It is open to anyone affected by the flooding and will remain open until the waters recede and the Boy Scouts are able to return to their camp.
