A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until midnight Tuesday morning for parts of southern Colorado. Areas shaded in green in the above are included in the Flash Flood Watch.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.
Monsoon moisture and moist easterly upslope flow will trigger another round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible with the stronger storms.
While rain is not expected to be as heavy as Sunday evening, the ground is already saturated and any additional rain could cause flash flooding to occur.
