The first recreational marijuana shop in El Paso County is set to open up next week.
Maggie's Farm is almost finished with its new shop located on Manitou Avenue at the Highway 24 interchange.
The city still has to do one final inspection this week, but the projected Grand Opening is Thursday.
Maggie's Farm is one of two projected recreational pot shops set to open in Manitou Springs this year.
The city's ordinance limits the number of retail marijuana stores allowed... to two.
"Our product, for one, is probably one of the top in the state because everything's organic, it's outdoor grown. Medically, it's as good as it gets," Todd Case, a Maggie's Farm employee said.
Shop employees tell News 5 they're already preparing for the shop's launch with extra parking.
"We have our ten parking spaces here and then have 40 more that we have right next door up at the warehouse up here and we'll have CDOT approved people helping with the flow of traffic," Case said.
If all goes according to plan, Maggie's Farm will open at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
