The Swedish-based telecommunications technology company Ericsson will cut 150 positions from its 180-employee office in Boulder in coming months.
Company officials told the staff Tuesday the cuts were for budget and efficiency reasons. Ericsson spokesman Jimmy Duvall said the work is moving to other locations.
Duvall says affected employees could be transferred elsewhere in the company, which has about 87,000 employees worldwide.
Herb Quick, a human resources consultant for the company, told the newspaper that no one would be cut before Nov. 20.
