US AIR FORCE ACADEMY- Hundreds of cadets were evacuated from a US Air Force Academy dormitory Tuesday after two small fires were found and extinguished. The fires happened inside Sijan Hall, one of the Academy's two dormitories.

It's unclear how many cadets were part of the evacuation. However, the dormitory generally houses half the the Academy's roughly 4,000 cadets.

Academy authorities apprehended an employee of an off-base contractor that they believe was responsible for starting the fires. That person was turned over to civilian authorities. Their name and pending charges were not released.

No structural damage reported and no one was injured.
