An attorney representing the Fraternal Order of Police has sued Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor for terminating a deputy, Sgt. Thomas McLallen.

The suit claims McLallen's civil rights were violated. McLallen was involved in trying to bring union representation to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office. McLallen was President of Pueblo County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7.

Sheriff Taylor had refused to give a reason last June when he fired McLallen, saying it was a personnel matter.
