Fire near Lamar has been extinguish and investigators are searching for a cause.

Prowers County Sheriff's Office and the Emergency Management Service tells News First 5 that the wildfire reported around mid-day on Friday was 100% contained late Friday night. The Sheriff's office went on to say that by early Saturday morning around 6 am the fire was determined to be out.
No official cause for the fire has been determined and the total amount of acreage has not yet been released. No structures were damaged and there were no reports of injury during the event.
Officials state that they will resume investigation by Sunday and a more complete report would be available by Monday.
