Welcome rain fell on Southern Colorado just days after many fire agencies across the area put in place fire bans because of extreme dry conditions. Does it mean any changes to the ban? "It's certainly nice," says Andrew Notbohm with Colorado Springs Fire, "but what we're looking at more is the duration of the rain event, than the amount." He says we need a week or more of rain to make up for the months of dry conditions.
The forecast is for hot temperatures and more wind. With that fire experts say fire danger will shoot right back up by the end of the week.
