The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center will begin its 75th season with a black tie gala next month honoring Colorado Springs Independent columnist Rich Tosches and Arts Center Trustee Susie Burghart.

The event is traditionally one of the FAC's top fundraisers of the year and president and CEO Sam Gappmayer said he is delighted to bring back many of the elements people have enjoyed at the celebration over the years.

"We also look forward to honoring Susie Burghart and Rich Tosches for their many contributions to our community," Gappmayer added.

Tickets cost $150 and include dinner, dessert and cocktails. Auction items that attendees can bid on include a commemorative ruby and diamond necklace designed after the Fine Arts Center logo, a Night at the Museum sleep-over for up to 10 children, and a two-night mountain adventure at the Lane Ranch in Divide.

Gala committee chair Martha Marzolf promises the night will be "action packed with surprise performances, a unique auction with artsy flair, a dining experience like no other and an entertaining performance in the theatre."

The gala begins at 5:30 p.m. September 10 at 30 W. Dale Street. Tickets are available online or by calling 719.634.5583.
