Fight erupts in early morning hours

Violence erupted Tuesday morning when 4 women squared of in a quiet southeastern Colorado Springs neighborhood. Springs police got the call around 8 o'clock Tuesday. They say 2 women went to a home on Chelton and Pikes Peak to collect a debt they say they were owed. A fight erupted in the front yard of the home with baseball bats and a knife. One person was stabbed in the brawl. Police say one of the suspects tried to back in to of the victims when she crashed into 2 cars in the driveway... that's when police showed up. They tell us this all stated after a chair was thrown through a window early Tuesday morning. "This window at this house was broken out a 4am this morning." says CSPD Sgt. Tony Erickson, "Neighbors of course see that happen, and when I come into service this morning, there's another call over on Galley where they're claiming a burglary that wasn't a burglary." Nobody was seriously hurt in the fight. Vanessa Lucero and Tonya Buster were both arrested at the scene and charged with second degree assault.
