Fewer Americans getting flu shots

One-third of Americans say they will not get a flu shot this year, according to a new survey from Consumer Reports.

Reasons for skipping the shot included concerns about side effects and safety, and the belief that fears about last year's pandemic were overblown.

Thirty-seven percent of those surveyed said they will be vaccinated, another third are undecided.

Experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend everyone over the age of six months be vaccinated.
