Few details available on suspicious death investigation

Colorado Springs Police Spokesperson Sgt Darrin Abbink tells KOAA News 5 that there are very few details they can release at this time about the investigation of a suspicious death.  Abbink said that officers were called to the 1600 block of Rushmore Drive at 12:59 am Sunday on the report of a medical emergency.  When officers arrived they found one 46 tear old male deceased on the floor. Upon investigation it was learned that there had also been disturbance in the residence, at that time it was determined that the Major Crimes unit would handle the investigation.

Investigators were not able to find any signs of obvious trauma but due to some conflicting reports they are handling the death investigation under suspicious causes.  Cause of death is to be determined by the El Paso County Coroner's Office on Monday. The identification of the victim or any potential suspects has not been released. All other releases are pending the results of the autopsy report.
