Federal prison near Florence on lockdown after assault

The Federal Penitentiary near Florence is on lockdown tonight after two staff members were assaulted by an inmate. It happened around 1 p.m. We're told the inmate entered a staff members office and struck the staff members in the face.
Other staff stepped in and got the situation under control. Two staff members were treated at local hospitals. One is still being held for observation. Two others were treated for minor injuries at the complex.
The lockdown will remain in effect until officials are certain there's no threat. The FBI has been notified and will investigate.
