FBI searching Colorado home of suspected al-Qaida operative

FBI agents are searching the home of a Colorado man identified by law enforcement as having a possible al-Qaida link.

FBI agents and sheriff's deputies entered the home of Najibullah Zazi in Aurora on Wednesday, and took out several boxes. They also are searching his aunt's home.  FBI special agent Kathleen Wright confirms they are executing two search warrants.

Zazi denies he's a central figure in a terrorism investigation that fed fears of a possible bomb plot and led to several police raids Monday in New York City.

NBC News is reporting Zazi rented a car from New York, and inside it, were documents containing explosive formulas.  FBI agents are now looking into whether or not Zazi purchased any of those ingredients.

"It's disturbing, certainly, and it makes you wonder if it can happen anywhere," says Randy Ivory, who lives down the block from Zazi's aunt.

Zazi has met with FBI investigators, but is not under arrest.
