Hundreds of dads in Colorado Springs spent their afternoon at the ballpark. The Sky Sox opened up the outfield before the today's game so that dads could play catch with their kids.

Father's day weekend is always one of the busiest for the ball club. It probably doesn't hurt that they also gave away free baseball gloves to the first 1,500 kids through the gate.

"This is a blast," says field host Jon Eddy. "We have as many folks as we can possibly have down on this beautiful field we've got the best day possible for it."

The Sox led the game through 8 innings but couldn't finish. They gave up up four runs in the ninth to the Tucson Padres for a final score of 4-2.
