Here are the latest numbers when it comes to the Fourmile Canyon fire burning in the Boulder area.

Acres: 6,388

Structures destroyed: 140

Structures damaged: 24

People missing: 4 (down from 8 earlier in the day)

At a 4 p.m. news conference, fire managers and the Sheriff's Office said there is still active fire inside the fire lines. There's no fire rushing out from the perimeter. Structures are still threatened.

Cooler temperatures and cloud cover helped in the fire fight Wednesday. Tankers and helicopters were able to make drops.

Sheriff's deputies are in the fire area, investigating the cause and documenting the destroyed homes and buildings.

An updated list will be posted here throughout the investigation.

Debris is now a big concern in the areas where there's no active fire. The Sheriff says it's still not safe for people to go home.
