The woman facing possible charges in the dragging death of a local tow truck driver appeared in court today.

The appearance by Detra Farries took only minutes, but the room was filled with emotion because of the large number of family and friends of Allen Rose who were there. Rose was dragged more than a mile after he became tangled in a cable that he had attached to a vehicle at an apartment complex.

This was an advisement proceeding to make sure Farries understands why she was arrested. As she left the court she was asked questions by media members but she didn't respond and kept walking.

She will appear in court again next week when the District Attorney will announce what charges she will face. It could be manslaughter or something more or even less severe.
