Fans, pizza parlors are happy NFL is back

After 4 and a half months it looks like the NFL lockout has ended. On Monday the owners and players agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement bringing football back to the field. Local fans couldn't be any happier. "Everyone loves football." says Shakir Mitchell, "Why would you end that you know?"

Watching the action even closer than fans were businesses like Borriello Brothers Pizza. "We were looking forward to a football season. Then when the lockout started we got a little worried." explains Borriello Brothers Business Manager Christopher Stein.

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the busiest pizza delivery days of the year. The expanded NFL schedule also regularly gave Borriello Brothers 3 solid days a week of good business. "Now you're talking Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays." says Stein, "That could be rough."

A lockout that extended in to the season could have cost the local business thousands of dollars. The news of an agreement comes with a sigh of relief for the pizzeria. "We even have plenty of people who come in to the restaurant to sit down and watch the games in our stores that have TVs." says Stein, "It's a big part of our business and it's good to see that it's over and that we'll be playing football this year."
