A family pet is being hailed as a hero after keeping a wandering toddler safe in the Arizona wilderness.

3-year old Victoria Bensch disappeared Thursday night while playing outside with her dog "Blue." After apparently getting lost, she spent the night outside in 30-degree weather.

Early Friday morning she was found by a helicopter crew and reunited with her parents. "We have to give a lot of credit to Blue, the dog," said Kim Rayfield, Victoria's aunt. "He pretty much stayed with her all night and I'm hoping that's what kept her warm and safe."
