Families spend their holiday at Lake Pueblo

Between the fire ban, the heat, and the holiday, most people Wednesday were looking for one thing.
Relief!
They found that on the water at Lake Pueblo.
The entire area was packed with boats and jet skis, and the parking lot filled quickly.
Most people say they don't mind the fireworks ban.
"It's a great time to get your family together and go out and enjoy a picnic or anything instead of going out and just blowing things up," said Nathaniel Schliesser, a Canon City resident who enjoyed his holiday at Lake Pueblo. "That's what we all love to do, but it's always nice to get out and do family activities."
Several people are also taking the holiday opportunity to camp out near the lake.
