A subdivision in Pueblo County is being forced to cut back on their daily water usage. Some homeowners say the cuts are so drastic they're afraid to take showers or wash their dishes.
This affects about a hundred homes in the Zinno subdivision near 20th lane on the mesa. Homeowners say their water supplier, Joseph Corporation, restricted them to only 62 gallons of water a day. By some estimates, that's about one-fifth of what an average family of four uses on a daily basis.
"I just think it's outrageous. I think it's unrealistic," said Kari Schafer, a homeowner.
In addition no outdoor watering is allowed. Violators could be fined $1,000 or possibly have their water shut off.
