Some people take advantage of their opportunities, others don't. Air Force senior linebacker John Falgout is an example of one who does.
Air Force coach Troy Calhoun said "I think in life there is a way where you can prepare for any situation that may come up. The opportunity may or may not arise. But you're willing to put in the work to make sure that if it does you're prepared. And John is a perfect example."
Falgout leads the team with 66 tackles which is incredible since he didn't become a starter until Ken Lamendola suffered a season ending knee injury in the Navy game, the fifth game of the season. Falgout has made an impact ever since.
Falcons cornerback Reggie Rembert says, "John has stepped up and played great in place of Kenny."
Falgout says, "I knew that if I got a shot I could take advantage of this and become a player and make an impact on this team. I think I just needed the opportunity."
Falgout will start only the fifth game of his career Saturday at 1:30 p.m. when Air Force hosts Army at Falcon Stadium.
