Falcon kidnap victim jumps from moving SUV to flee abductor

A victim of an attempted kidnapping in Falcon managed to jump out of a moving vehicle to escape her abductor Sunday.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says the attempted kidnapping happened around 12:15 Sunday afternoon.  A 19-year-old woman told deputies she was riding her bicycle along Woodmen Hills Drive near Velvet Antler Way when a dark-colored SUV pulled up beside her.  A man got out of the SUV, grabbed the woman, forced her into the SUV, and took the bicycle as well.

The suspect began to drive away, but the woman was able to jump from the moving SUV and run to a nearby home where she told the residents what happened.  Deputies were immediately notified.  The woman sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The attempted kidnapper is described as a white male wearing a red, black, and white striped hooded sweatshirt.  The SUV was last seen driving eastbound on Woodmen Hills Drive.

Anyone who has information that can help in the investigation is asked to call the El Paso County Sheriff's Office at (719) 390-5555.
