FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado State athletic director Paul Kowalczyk says he'll wait until football season ends before deciding the future of coach Steve Fairchild.

Fairchild is in the fourth year of his five-year contract, which pays him an annual salary of $700,000.

The Rams are 3-5 this season after losing the past four games. Overall, Colorado State is 16-29 under Fairchild, who signed on to coach the Rams in December 2007.

Kowalczyk told the Coloradoan newspaper that other than the mounting losses, he's pleased with the work of Fairchild and his staff and the players they've brought into the program.
