Explosives found in Aurora home, man arrested

AURORA - A bomb squad is on the scene of a house fire in Aurora today morning.

Pipe bombs were found inside the home. The man who lives in the home - later identified as Michael Grover, 55 - was arrested by Aurora Police. Grover is going to be charged with possession of an explosive device. He is being held in the Aurora City Jail on a $6,000 bond.

A fire broke out Monday around 10:30 p.m. in the home. When firefighters arrived at the home, Grover told the firefighters that he had pipe bombs inside a shed near the home. Firefighters also found illegal fireworks, apparent homemade explosive devices and other bomb-making materials in the house.

Four nearby homes were evacuated.
