Ex-girlfriend says Garcia took her daughter before missing girl

The suspect in the kidnapping of a Pueblo girl has been captured in Colorado Springs. Now there's new information about what happened leading up to girl's disappearance.

Jose Garcia, 29, was arrested in Colorado Springs today at a bus terminal. Garcia is suspected in the abduction of 9-year-old Calysta Cordova yesterday in Pueblo.

Garcia's ex-girlfriend spoke with us in Pueblo today. "I'm so devastated. I'm glad he's off the streets and can't do this to anyone else."

She said she and Garcia have a son together. She said on Thursday Garcia took her 10-year old daughter out of school without her permission. She says her daughter later told her Garcia had touched her inappropriately at his house. She says she contacted police immediately.

Hours later Cordova went missing from Columbian Elementary School.  An Amber Alert was issued and the child was found safely this morning at a gas station in Colorado Springs.
