Colorado Springs Police say an Evidence refrigerator was not cooling properly last month at the Colorado Springs Police Department Police Operations Center. An Evidence Technician discovered the problem.

The refrigerator was being used to store approximately 235 blood, urine, semen and other evidence samples.

The refrigerator was repaired. Investigators don't think any of the evidence was compromised.

A spokesman for the Colorado Springs Police Department says the Fourth Judicial District Attorneys Office has been notified about the problem.

All of the other evidence refrigerators were checked out and are working properly.
