Evacuations lifted in Bent County

CAMPO, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have lifted an evacuation order for about a dozen homes in Hasty that were threatened by an 11-square-mile wildfire. This pictures was taken by Prowers County firefighters today.

The blaze near Las Animas is one of three that started Saturday in southern Colorado and the Oklahoma panhandle. In neighboring Baca County, emergency management director Riley Frazee says a fatal rollover accident Saturday sparked a 3-square-mile wildfire northeast of Campo that destroyed a home, a fire truck from a volunteer fire department, several outbuildings, vehicles, farm implements and machinery. Another home was damaged.

Frazee says both the blaze near Campo and in Oklahoma have been contained. No injuries have been reported. Brandon Williams of the Colorado Division of Emergency Management says the evacuation orders for homes in Hasty Sunday morning had been lifted by afternoon.
