Enjoy the heat and sunshine today because it's going to get much cooler as we head into the workweek with plenty of cloud cover around.
Temperatures today will top out in the 80s/90s for areas east of the mountains which is around 10 degrees above average for this time of year. A spotty shower or storm is possible late this afternoon along the foothills and Palmer Divide with the rest of the lower elevations staying dry under mostly to partly sunny skies. The mountains will once again see some scattered activity pop up during the afternoon hours and linger into the first part of this evening.
There will be more moisture around Monday which will lead to better coverage of storms for the mountains and areas along I-25. A cold front will move through Southern Colorado Monday night resulting in a cool, cloudy, and wet (for some) conditions for the middle of the week. Expect highs in the 70s/80s Tuesday through Friday with a daily chance of rain for the high country and Front Range.
Next weekend looks to be a little warmer and drier than the workweek ahead with highs in the 80s in most spots.
