Dozens of turtles that were once covered with oil, are now back home in the Gulf of Mexico.
A rehabilitation center released 42 Kemps Ridleys turtles this week. They were among the first victims of the gulf oil spill. 3
The Kemps Ridleys are the most endangered turtles in the gulf so to increase their chances of survival, they were released near Turtle Key. The area is rich in food, safe from predators and free of oil.
