NewsFirst5 has talked with Kelli McGannon, Director of Public Affairs for King Soopers Stores, who stated that out of the 140 stores in Colorado only 114 of them had the film and digital printing services in their stores. McGannon said, "Due to the lack of demand and the rise of digital printing at home, King Soopers will be closing down the Photo services in all 114 stores."

McGannon says King Soopers does not expect to have any lay-offs or job-loss from the closing of these services and actually plans to expand their grocery services as a result. Most of the employees that ran the photo services department had other job duties to continue performing. There are 10 King Soopers Stores in Colorado Springs and 2 in Pueblo.
