Ellicott schools on lockdown due to threat

Schools in Ellicott are on lockdown this afternoon after a threat to a family with students enrolled in one of the schools.
Here's the official statement from the district from their website:
Ellicott schools have been placed in a lockdown at the request of Schriever AFB personnel who received information regarding a potential threat to a family with students enrolled in Ellicott schools. We have proceeded with a lockdown as a precaution for our students and staff. Parents are encouraged not to call the offices in order to keep our phones available.
The District says busses will run on schedule.
