They're back at it this morning. Election judges in Pueblo County are counting about 2,000 ballots from Tuesday's election. County Clerk Gilbert Ortiz decided to send his staff home last night before the final count was done--Ortiz says they were tired and he wanted to avoid mistakes.
Election Supervisor Dena Abeyta says there was a 47% turnout this election: 81,461 ballots were sent out and 38,340 were returned.
Abeyta says election judges should finish counting the remaining ballots today.
