Tonight El Paso County is participating in the 28th annual National Night Out.

Local neighborhoods will have block parties, cookouts and activities. Were hoping to visit neighbors on Legend Hill Drive, they promise a BBQ and a "Minute to Win It" event. National Night Out celebrations are set to start around 5:30 p.m. as long as it doesn't rain.

National Night Out is an annual event promoting crime and drug prevention in communities across the country. The concept is to turn on your porch light and join your neighbors for a night out. Members of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office will be traveling around to different neighborhood celebrations.
