A parole report from the Colorado Department of Corrections(DOC) shows that Evan Ebel may have removed his ankle monitor five days before allegedly killing the Exective Director of DOC, Tom Clements.
A "tamper alert" was issued on March 14th just hours after Ebel had a phone conversation with his parole officer, however he did not respond back to the officer that afternoon after being called due to the alert.
The parole officer tried to contact Ebel unsuccessfully for five days before writing an escape report for the Parole Board on the 19th, the day Clements was shot and killed at his home in Monument.
An warrant was issued for Ebel's arrest the next day.
Ebel was released on parole on January 28th and had followed the rules until the monitor incident.
