The East Peak Fire is burning below the east Spanish Peak in Huerfano County. Approximately 250-300 acres have burned with no containment. The East Peak Fire was being called the Scout Ranch Fire
Approximately 150 people have arrived at the shelter at John Mall High School. That location is at 355 Pine Street.
The Red Cross has set up a "Safe and Well" hotline. They ask that you only call 719-890-8750 to ask about a family member who has been evacuated.

County Road 363 on pre-evacuation orders.
Las Animas County Sheriff confirms the Black Hawk Ranch developement located in both Huerfano and Las Animas counties are on voluntary evacuation status at this time.
The Sheriff says people are choosing to leave because there is only one way in, and one way out of the development.
