Crew have finished the roadwork that required the closure of East Platte Avenue in central Colorado Springs.
Crews replaced storm drains that crossed Platte Avenue, which helped to flatten out the road and remove the "humps" at cross streets.
"We appreciate the patience of nearby residents and motorists alike," said Colleen Dawson, project manager for the City. "We understand what a disruption construction can be and we are pleased to complete this portion of the work so quickly."
The entire safety improvement project is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2011.
