Drying and warming

After widespread, prolonged heavy rainfall late Thursday night and early Friday morning, the rest of Friday will be much less active. Aside from a stray thunderstorm, expect mainly dry conditions with some morning clouds giving way to mostly sunny skies by afternoon. High temperatures will be in the mid-80's around Colorado Springs. Expect mid-to-upper 70's for Monument Hill and Teller County. Pueblo, along with the rest of the Arkansas River Valley, will warm into the 90's, as will areas south of the Arkansas River.

Through the weekend, expect warming temperatures. The dry conditions will persist into next week.
